Boxing World Meet Pablo "The Shark" Rubio
The only knock out on this night came from an unknown prospect, Pablo “The Shark” Rubio, who got things started right for the LA Fight Club audience.
Rubio made his professional day view against Julio Iwami Rodriguez who hails from Ensenada, Baja California, MX. It was also Julio’s professional day view in a battle of the unknowns.
I spoke with Pablo after the fight; and was impressed with how humble and how hungry he is to succeed. At only 19 and even after an emotional 1st professional win, Rubio was very poised.
Rubio’s family made the short trip from Whittier, CA to downtown Los Angeles and rolled extremely deep. They will be back on August 6th, 2015 as Rubio is expected to fight again on the next LA Fight Club.
Pablo told me he has approximately 80 amateur fights under his resume proving he has strong fundamentals; too bad we didn’t get to see more of it as he quickly knocked out his overwhelmed opponent.
Fight fans keep an eye out for this talented prospect, I look forward to seeing more wins from “The Shark” in the near future and will keep watching his career progress under the Golden Boy umbrella.
